2. Fabric and construction

Shell fabric: selected against your requirement, whether that is a specific composition or a reference sample you send us. Construction: a full-zip front, ribbed or elasticated cuffs and hem, and a lined or unlined body as specified. A waterproof membrane sits behind the face fabric, and the seams on the exposed panels are sealed so water does not track in along the stitching. The face fabric is tightly woven to cut wind, which is what makes the difference on an exposed pitch or an early start. Digital printing holds photographic detail, gradients and fine line work that screen printing cannot reproduce. Printing is chosen to suit the artwork: screen printing for flat spot colours, transfer for fine detail, sublimation for all-over designs. The specification sheet fixes the weight, the finish and the trims, and it is agreed with you before cutting starts.

• Decoration: digital printing / printed decoration. The method is checked against your artwork at the quoting stage — a file that works for one process can fail in another.
• Colour: any Pantone reference you supply; the whole order is cut from a single lot so the colour holds across the size run.
